The TL-SG205E that's on sale is a managed switch. That means you can configure it through a browser or app to set port priorities and create VLANs (Virtual Local Area Networks), which is useful if you run virtual machines or want more control over network traffic.
For most people who just need extra Ethernet ports on a modem/router combo, the SG105 is more than enough and that's exactly why I went with the SG105.
