A LOT of 1-star reviews on the Milwaukee site for this battery, and most of those were for the one that comes with the jacket. They all say that the battery lasts a couple weeks or months, and then will not charge again. Personally, I have some of the 3.0 compact batteries for tools that I have no issue with. However, when included with and used with the jacket, they seem to become useless.

I believe you're talking about the original style battery for the Milwaukee heat gear which is shaped like a cylinder. I have been using those batteries centers in my jacket with no battery issues at all except for the fact that is is so bulky when put in the jacket. Milwaukee just released a new Milwaukee Heat Gear Power Pack that is flat making it way comfortable when it's being used. The new power pack also uses usb-c to charge and gives you access to Bluetooth connectivity to program and operate the heated gear on the Milwaukee App on your phone. Here is the link to the new power pack, totally worth it in my opinion. I have attached the link for the new battery below. https://www.milwaukeetool.com/pro...48-11-2330

Hopefully the quality control for the heating elements has gotten better throughout the years. We bought half a dozen of these jackets for our employees (escape room-so it's not heavy duty use like contractors) and half of them stopped working within the next winter. Two of them had the bottom elastic cinch come loose. In other words we've had some pretty decent quality control issues throughout the years. I believe only two out of the original six still work after 4 years. The original triangular M12 battery sits weird in the back left section and digs into your kidney areas. We bought 18650 flat battery packs that have a 12 volt barrel plug output which plugs in perfectly with the jacket. With four 18650 batteries in the pack, it runs for many hours as opposed to the original M12 which kept it running for about an hour and a half. The heated pocket section is definitely nice, but a big gimmicky because a nice non heated puffer jacket is just as warm as long as it is sealed/fitting well and much lighter/compact than these Milwaukee jackets.
These jackets do look cool though.

"Hold on, let me get my phone to tell Siri to heat up my jacket over Bluetooth - I can't just get out of my electric car to get into Starbucks to get my favorite soy drink when it's below freezing out."
