Can't find much info on these either. Look too soft for machines or extensive hitting. Would like an alternative to Murph machine ball's that don't cost $5-6/each

These kinds of balls are great for inside work. My kids hit off a t, throw against the wall, play catch, inside our city apartment. We also use in the batting cage with PVC pipe. More hit or miss for outside, because the wind takes them. That said, Anywhere Balls are the best I've seen, but more expensive. GoSports also makes them, and they are the same price as Amazon ones. I'd go with the GoSports, unless Amazon Basics beats them in price . Full disclosure, I haven't used the Amazon ones.
