I have a similar tool that I use for breaking down boxes to get in the recycling bin. Don't expect precision cuts with it.

I made a game of ripping cardboard boxes apart without a knife & learned really quickly there are optimal ways to do it.

I bought one before because I thought I'd use it to break down boxes, but it didn't work very well. The opening is too small, and every time I have to struggle really hard with my left hand pull the box meanwhile try to shovel it at the corner of the box with my right hand. The whole process is a pain in the x. I realize it's so much easier just to use my razer blade knife to break down boxes.

Make one that's fast and precise, but only cuts wrapping paper, and I'd be in.
Bonus points if the top held a spool of tape.
