I'm a family physician and bought 3 of these to try them out at the office. I like patients to check their own blood pressures in exam rooms (actually my preference is that they bring records of their readings from home) because when a medical assistant checks it as they are being roomed it's invariably higher than other settings and I prefer not to make medical management decisions based on faulty data. I ended up returning them because they were REALLY inaccurate compared to higher quality sphygmomanometers or manually checked BP readings by myself. If you go to validatebp.org there's a huge database of scientifically validated BP cuffs which are more accurate than this one and cost about the same amount.

I've had this for a while, the battery dies quickly, I'm constantly charging it. Otherwise it's pretty good.

I don't trust measurements from doctors offices. Many assistants don't properly measure ideally correctly. Sometimes the arm is not positioned correctly, wrapping over your thick clothing such as a sweater (ideally wrap around bare skin), etc

The other issue is "doctor office stress," which can artificially raise it consistently, encouraging possibly unneeded meds. Good doctors would know this, but new ones may be too quick to prescribe.
