Apple Watch Series 11 is drawing interest as a solid everyday smartwatch, with the bigger 46mm model standing out for noticeably better battery life than older Series 7 and Series 8 watches. Cellular adds convenience for fitness and going phone free, and the stainless steel and sapphire crystal versions are praised for staying scratch free. The main drawbacks are the extra monthly cellular fee, the sport band only configuration at this price, and the lack of Sport Loop or Nike band options through authorized retailers. A practical upgrade if battery life and durability matter most.
People upgrading from an older watch that still feels usable, because the newer model adds noticeably better battery life without changing the core watch experience.
Wearers who prefer cellular freedom during workouts, because the cellular model can be used away from the phone and still handles fitness tracking well.
Shoppers who want a stainless steel watch with a tougher screen, because the sapphire crystal and metal body stay scratch-free better than aluminum versions.
The deal is for the standard Sport Band configuration, and the Nike band or textile Sport Loop is not shown as an authorized-retailer option for Series 11. If you want the more comfortable woven-style band, you may need to buy it separately or choose a different seller/configuration.
The cellular model adds convenience, but one recurring cost is AT&T's $15 per month on top of your phone service. If you mainly want basic watch features and already carry your phone, the GPS model avoids that ongoing fee.
Battery life is reported as much better than older watches: one upgrade from a Series 7 45mm GPS to a Series 11 46mm cellular went from ending a workday at 20-30% to around 70%. Cold weather can still hurt battery life on older models.
Costco will price match its own sale price if you bought the watch within 30 days, and the difference is typically refunded as a gift card. That makes it worth checking back if the deal price drops after your order.
An Xfinity rewards offer may provide a $300 smartwatch voucher, and one buyer also used a Prime Visa signup credit to bring the Series 11 down to about $200 out the door. Those promos can materially lower the final price if you qualify.
Tempting, but my Series 4 Cellular in stainless steel is still somehow working fine lol. I'll wait for the re-design even if it's still a few years down the line
im on the 7 but battery life is horrible especially in this cold...

10.6.2 is indeed a software update, so, yes, there literally is a damn thing factually wrong about what you said. Keep digging yourself into that hole though, you're already this far in, why admit being wrong now?
Are you incapable of even reading the release notes?
I'll give you a hint, this still wasn't a farking software update:

:
This update extends the certificate required by features such as iMessage, FaceTime, and device activation to continue working after January 2027.
They didn't update a single stitch of actual code to do this. It's still credible, as I already said, that Apple *didn't* just leave your watch a brick come next year. Then again, to keep you paying for iCloud and in their ecosystem updating a certificate is a very easy and minor fix to keep your money flowing.
And of course, the other thing you're ignorantly leaving out is 10.6.1 being the previous update... Was released two years ago as their last actual software and security update before they killed off support.
Just because you don't know how software support lifecycles work doesn't change the fact you have an end of life device that will never see future fixes or improvements, you can bitch and moan about that all you want but it won't change that reality.
Nobody said it turns into a brick, but pretending it's still getting software and support updates and not that Apple has literally followed through on their two year old edict to kill it, is ignorant as all hell.

A watch. Which still tells time, which provides notifications, which still does literally everything an Apple Watch is supposed to do, and more. It *Works* perfectly fine, and doesn't need your blessing to do so. But, you'll pick on "security patches" on a friggin watch lmaoo. Not on a phone, not on a laptop, not on a work computer... a watch.
So now you've moved from denialism to "well fine, so what if it's true- I don't give a shit about security"...
This is exactly why people like you will never be involved in software lifecycle (and clearly, you aren't) because this is the dumbest "my car gets me from place to place who the fark needs a seat belt".
You said you had a CELLULAR watch which means, that thing is connected to the raw dogged internet 24/7. The fact zero days exist (and have been exploited), and the fact that we don't even know about other...[wikipedia.org]. Of course, you can bury your head in the dirt, it might be easier, or you can learn something that helps prevent yourself from getting farked over in life, but you do you.

Stainless 8 here that I got brand new from an SD dead at $199 when the 9 came out. Haven't felt a reason to upgrade yet and the watch is still completely scratch free! The stainless body and sapphire crystal screen is amazing! Much stronger than the multiple aluminum Apple watches I had before getting this one.

Taking this down just a notch: Thank you. (Both, actually).
I also have an Apple Watch 4 [GPS] with which I've been perfectly happy. Being satisfied, I thought I'd try to hold out for a blood glucose sensor, despite knowing that's a hard nut to crack non-invasively & probably not coming anytime soon.
I'm not completely ignorant, so I was keeping an eye out for CVEs -- and hadn't done (installed) anything with it since it EOL'd -- but I didn't start digging until this exchange. Will update my hardware asap... and maybe use the 4 offline e.g. at the gym.
So, despite the contention, this was a useful thread that produced a positive outcome. Thanks again!
