Finally, a Segway I wouldn't be embarrassed to own. This actually beats the $/Wh of the popular OUPES deal I bought ($299/1024Wh) though this unit only puts out 200W more, and has one less AC output.

Is there anything near this price range and wattage capacity (or larger) that will do 240v? Trying to find a solution for my well pump during power outages. 1/2 HP 240V. Have a 10KW generator but honestly that is absurdly large for my usage of well pump, lights, fridge, and maybe TV. Probably going to buy a 6000w dual fuel inverter (more like 4500w surge via propane) but in my mind a power station would be the easiest.

FYSA, looks like this series does have UPS functionality, but the UPS switchover time is "0.03s" aka 30ms, which is a bit slow and may cause reboots in some equipment. Otherwise looks like a pretty decent device for the money.

58 lbs, made by Segway, but they didn't think of putting it on wheels.

A Segway with no wheels? That's absurd!

Just buy the Wen Inverter Generator at Lowes for $798. The cheapest power station would be like $1199 refurbed that does 240v

1/2 HP would equate to around 0.4 kW but may need more than 1 kW for startup. You can pair two of some power stations (e.g. Pecron 3600) together with a special plug to make 240V..

..OR you may be able to simply use a cheap $100 power transformer to convert 120V to 240: https://www.amazon.com/Yinleader-...B07SZFF97X

Thanks!

Funny you suggested the Wen, I actually ordered a DF680iX today. I was just hoping I could have 100% battery power as well. I'm into redundancy plus a battery would be quicker to deploy and I could use it for countless other things. $500-ish I could live with, $1200...probably not. If it was my only source of power, perhaps but then I'd likely spend more on something that could come closer to powering much more of my house.

Thank you. That's similar to what I was figuring as well but I was budgeting 1500w for start up, just in case. Pump is about 10 years old and older motors can pull more watts at start up depending on condition. I was also considering a soft start kit but for well pumps those appear to be about $400 alone. We have much cheaper ones in HVAC but the cursory research I see online suggests not using them on well pumps...not sure why. A compressor is just a big 240v motor...in my mind, it shouldn't matter.

The transformer is an interesting idea, I'll look more into that. I'm just worried the overhead of the transformer may add a bit to the total pulled wattage though. Not an expert so I may be overthinking it.
Thanks again!
