I got one of those medical ones and it's so bulky. Specially having to carry it upstairs, omg it's a pain in the ass. That said, I will be getting this one from Walmart. Looks amazing. I can use this one downstairs when I'm gaming on my rog ally handheld and I can set a permanent monitor onto it. Thanks for this post

Minimum height is ~30". That is like dining table height and may not work around couches.

Thanks for pointing this out. That minimum height is a dealbreaker for me.

I think you are drastically overestimating this thing's capabilities.

I got the white one of the last deal and am on the fence thinking about returning it.

It's not awful for the price, but it's just so wobbly unless affixed to the lowest position.

What size monitor do you want to use?
Unless what you're suggesting is to have a portable lightweight monitor, I highly doubt it would effectively support a full monitor. This thing is pretty light duty.

How sturdy would this be? Could it hold 30-40 lbs?
I'm mostly concerned about occasionally leaning on it and it giving up completely - I wouldn't put more than a laptop and maybe a notebook on it.

I work in IT for schools. Had a teacher that used one of these and it was so nice. Smart teacher!

I can well it's a bit heave but I'm the only one that sits on the side of the couch. It's a small love seat type. Flat square arms so I'm sure I can make it work. I'll be taking measurements tonight to see if itll work but I'm sure I can make it work have a similar table on the other side and just barely clears the arm. Which is perfect because I'll be using a pc monitor for now l. My previous portableMonitor broke. So I'm also looking for a new portableMonitor.

A better option, if there is a table, or an end table near you gaming spot, is to get an articulating monitor arm and clamp it to the table. You can find them as low as $15 sometimes. You could also do like I do for my bed. I have a microphone arm mounted on my headboard, and my steam deck attaches to it, so I can lay in bed and position the deck anywhere I want it, and then I just use a wireless gamepad to play.

I don't have experience with this desk, but similar models in the past have had significant issues with stability. I wouldn't expect to be able to arrest your hands with any regular pressure on this while using a laptop
