Not sure how they compare to Costco but these are pretty terrible. They don't last very long and also leak like crazy. I guess the good thing about them is when they do eventually leak and you chat in to customer service about a refund/replacement, they tell you to keep the batteries and issue it. At least for me in the two instances when I've bought separate double and triple A sets.

If you have a Costco membership, the Kirkland Signature branded batteries are made by Duracell and are much higher quality. I've used both and the Amazon ones get spent very quickly. Ok for the occasionally used remote control and such, but not good for wireless controllers, flashlights, etc.

Costco batteries have been crap in my experience. Every time I need to replace them, they have leaked in my devices. Not sure who made them, but I will not buy Kirkland branded batteries again.

Hmm, maybe they've changed. I'll look for made in USA when I go looking for them next time.

Most batteries will eventually leak if they're left in a device when they're dead or exposed to extreme temperatures. I remove batteries from everything that's not used weekly and have not had any issues with leaking since. I mostly use store brands like Amazon Basics.

Get the blue and black Thunderbolt Edge batteries from Harbor Freight. YouTube tests prove they're at least as good as high end batteries, and they have been the best for me in our 8 trail cameras, lasting weeks longer than many and with Harbor Freight coupons they can be much cheaper.

Why do so many people have leakage problems with their batteries of any brand? I've never had that problem. Even with Amazon's.

Probably because their like me and assume they're going to be using a device more frequently than we do and eventually the batteries die on their own and start leaking...

More S & S scam.
S&S is not at all a scam. You simply click it, set to 6months, get the discount, then once it ships, go into your account and cancel it. Not using it anytime you can is just leaving a free discount on the table.
