I bought it last October for $153. The system has been slowly creeping up in price. It was $130 early last year. $170 is not a deal by any means, probably the new normal.

These do work great though! I bought them probably not on sale (x2) and still love them. They integrate well with Home assistant. It very important to take notice and understand the directionality of your load versus your line (aka line is the feed coming in from a source where it be solar or from the grid) and the load is the rest of the house. I find them quite responsive and has given me quite the data usage from my house. Pair them with individual energy monitors and you can be as granular as you'd like with your power usage.

If you're anything like us in the Bay Area, it can help you determine where you may want to shut things off when not in use or provide you with some insight as to how much power some appliances use.

Also do keep in mind that the A and C all fall into the same line/load check. So when looking inside your panel pay attention or plan out how you plan to monitor your circuits. It will save you time and headaches later.

If you are able to I'd even recommend making it's own conduit box to drill out hole for the antennas but having them inside the box has still worked for me.

Also will add, it doesn't require you to turn power off but with live power use caution. They will just clip over your wires you're monitoring. Or power things off before connecting if you're faint of heart.
