Okay deal the retail pricing on these is closer to $60 than the listed price though so savings is not immense and there aren't color choices for this deal.

I've never seen a "retail" price there that wasn't inflated.
I've been shooting various hand guns and shotguns in competition for many decades and Walker brand has always been at or near the top for performance and value. I used foam ear plugs starting out but they never consistently stayed in place and a distraction when in competition. I used Peltor brand for few months but back 25+ years ago they were too big and would contact my stock when the gun is mounted. Walkers work great and their low profile never gets in the way when shooting trap or sporting clays.
40 bucks for a mono output is crazy. not sure why someone would want the special color, but the max id spend on these is 25 bucks.
These don't have bluetooth or anything, the output is mostly for amplifying voices to communicate at the range. Mono is fine for that. (They do have an aux in, but most people use that for walkie-talkie or push-to-talk attachments, not music.)
But you're right about the color. You can get the standard colors for low $30 range any day of the week, and in mid $20 range if you wait for a sale.
This isn't a slick deal IMO.

bluetooth? who cares about bluetooth? or music!? if we were talking about music, i would care less about stereo. i want stereo output for a far more important reason...
and that reason is knowing where sound came from. if you are sitting there shooting, or doing pretty much any other activity, and someone is behind you and starts talking to you, you dont even know what shoulder to look over. because you have no idea where they are. sometimes that is fine, and if the muffs are cheap enough its a fine sacrifice, but at $40, you can spend not much more and know where every sound is coming from. not to mention, that not much more will also get you way better audio quality, and you will get way less white noise, which can be really taxing if you are wearing them for a long time.
