Dump a few spoonfuls of instant crystals into boiled water. Maybe stir it if I'm feeling fancy.

They are even interesting if you're not. Sometimes it's fun to watch someone who is incredibly passionate about something that you don't know anything about.
This is a masterclass in making coffee or finding your way to something that you love. I wish everybody could have something in their life that they enjoy as much as this gentleman enjoys coffee.

If you can afford the physical copy, it's definitely a better experience, especially if you're using t to reference ratios for coffee brewing methods. That said, great book!

This book literally gave me my preferred method for pour over. Transformative in my experience. Good book, for someone who's interested in the chemistry like myself or for someone who just wants some basic directions to follow (my wife)

Aeropress is the most superior way to brew for flavor

I mostly do pour-over with coffee beans from Seattle, but when in a rush and needing to use instant, I found that Land of the Sea Kona coffee is amazing. Not cheap, but that's typical from Kona coffee, and it's 100%.

burr grinder med fine, fresh or vacuum sealed light to medium roast, moka pot. no real fancy equipment and better than anything charbucks ever made. sure expensive coffee is better but as long as it's fresh even inexpensive coffee turns out well.

for travel is aeropress

james hoffman is the coffee man but all that fancy equipment is overkill. (sorry James, i still love you though Smilie )

Baratza Encore burr grind, french press. Love that rich, chocolatey flavor.
