I've had very few failed prints with my Kobra 3 v2. Learning some basics on brims and supports when you slice a model makes a big difference. If you're just sending a model to print without reviewing how it sliced, you're going to run into a lot more issues.

I'm sure the Bambu is easier overall but these printers are still enormously easier for 3d printing than older printers like the Ender 3. I had to manually level the bed on the Ender. It had no built in network interface so I had to set up Octoprint to manage the printer without it being right next to your computer. No filament runout sensor. No ability to print multiple colors.

$200 is a great deal for what you get here. The ACE unit is worth $200 by itself.
I think this is sometimes the difference between people who have good vs bad luck with budget class printers like this. If you've been printing for a while and came from the older, more temperamental printers, you likely, almost by instinct, sense issues. You are likely more careful about how you orient prints and bed adhesion etc. As a result, you might feel a printer is reliable because you inherently avoid the issues others run into. It's like someone who has years of cooking experience just gets a marginal recipe to work while I somehow manage to burn water while trying to serve frozen yogurt.

I bought this in a deal from few months back. Here are my thoughts
  1. Quality wise its not the best because its a bed slinger. You'll find much better prints quality with core xy like AD5M or AD5X
  2. There is issue with bed adhesion, but you need to invest in BIQU cryogrip built plate, its a game changer for any 3D printer.
  3. ACE is a plus as it dries and keeps them dry when filaments are not in use. You can print desiccant holder to keep the spools dry.
  4. The printer is mostly assembled from the factory but make sure to tighten all the screws. Mine were slightly loose and quality greatly improved after tightening them (still nothing like a core xy)
  5. Don't even bother to replace the nozzle, its permanently glued. Buy the cheap nozzle+hotend ceramic heater assembly and you will be much happy (on first time use, slightly coat an inch or so of the filament with mineral oil and it forms a protective nonstick layer inside the nozzle). Clogs are mostly due to bad filament quality, uneven size or moisture.

I have been thinking about buying my first 3D printer. would it be better to wait for the kobra X?
For your first 3D printer, if you're not ready for a lot of tinkering about with the settings, you'll find the Anycubic printers very frustrating. If you want something quick and easy, you might prefer a Bambu like the A1 Mini.

Price is Different. Got the pop-up for $199, and that is the price until checkout, then it adds $30 in fees for something... not sure. Either way, I gave it a shot and bought yesterday. I have an A1 and could definitely use another printer to pump out some basic stuff, (toys, fidgets, random parts) so I'm down to try it out, Thanks!

Turn off pop-up blocker and you will get it. It's not a code.

Bambu is the simplest but it's going to be more expensive than anycubic
Actually wondering.
My first 3d printer was a Kobra 3v2. It seems crazy easy. I have never used the dryer. I resize, use the store, import. What is harder on the Kobra?

I've been trying, and I haven't been able to see it either after disabling ad-blockers. Is the deal dead?

Nope. I don't have a pop up blocker on any of my devices. Deal is either targeted or dead.

Just a heads up that the Kobra X is supposed to start shipping this month at a price of $279.

Some key differences are that this printer has the ace pro unit and the Kobra X has the ace pro 2 unit and they aren't interchangeable. The Kobra X has a different filament management system that will have faster color changes and less purge waste. There are clearly other differences, but I wanted to point out that a new printer is coming (then again, isn't that always the case)?
I believe you can use the Ace Pro 2 with the various AC printers but you can't mix an ace and ace 2. I could be mistaken. I would assume that if it does work, you could only get up to 8 colors since the firmware isn't configured to do more than that except on the S1 Max and X.
