Where did you get this information? You can still add an Instacart gift card In the payment section of sameday.costco when checking out. And the Instacart credits I already have on my Costco account have been applied to my order.

They'll need to update the info on their current $10 off promo (WINTERSAMEDAY26), since it specifically says:

Can I use an Instacart gift card with this promotion?
Yes. At checkout, click 'add promo code or Instacart gift card' and enter WINTERSAMEDAY2026. Close out detail box.
Click back into 'add promo code or Instacart gift card' then enter your Instacart gift card code to add the funds to your account.

Then you try add a giftcard and see what it says . I'm just offering a friendly advise. The app interface changed from add a promo code and gift card to only add a promo code .When you try add a giftcard it will say promotion code is invalid. I was able to use my remaining balance but unable to add additional giftcards into the accounts it's been reported by several people on the popular platform starts with R.

That's not accurate. I order at Costco via Instacart app couple times a month and it's pretty much always a flat 10% markup.

Edit: I do have Instacart+, not sure if the prices would be different without it.

I had the exact same experience as you when I was trying to place an order this past Saturday. I can use the existing credits on Costco Same Day app but unable to add a new gift card. I ended up placing an order directly from Instacart app and the only difference was instacart app had an additional $4.5 service fee on an order of $160. All the product prices were same as Costco same day

Did you add your Costco membership info to Instacart app? I placed an order yesterday and the prices on Instacart Costco were same as Costco Same Day. The only difference for me was an additional service fee of $4.5 (on an order of $160) on the Instacart app which was not there on Costco Same Day. Just FYI, I have Instacart+ membership added to both Instacart and Costco Same Day

The fact you have Instacart+ is why the prices are different / lower. I've had Instacart+ since 2019 and found the differences when comparing to Sameday without entering Instacart+ info
