This considered a decent quality angle grinder? I hear Bosch is hit or miss on the tool side.

Does this grinder need the proprietary tools and wheels?

I have many Bosch angle grinders that are great, but I would personally avoid this one.

I have nearly 20 grinders that I use for block work and welding. Some of the hardest working that I have used have actually been Makita.

For me, there would be a noticeable difference between the two models. The biggest difference is that the 4 inch that you bought may not be able to take the more widely available 4.5 inch wheels with the guard on. And of course, the smaller wheel has a more shallow depth of cut.

Mine burned up and died, lasted 1 whole job then died halfway thru the second. Granted I was using it to grind cement but still, it's a grinder.
