Had to click to see what "phantom" meant so I figured I'd put it down here in a comment. Heat from your hand/fingers reveals the colors temporarily. Pretty neat.

I currently have one of these & it's not for beginners. It's been sitting on my dresser looking cool for at least 6 months

I read you said looking cool for 6 months. Does it change color during the summer months

Funny I just grabbed it and it has to get warmed up before you can see the colors. I just started messing w it in front of the fireplace & it lit right up If you don't touch it looks like an interesting art piece

My son got it for Christmas. I shuffle it for my son, and after a good minute of shuffling it's lit up and he can see it good enough to solve. I can imagine in the summer it would light up like a Christmas tree but it's a bit cold around here lately, even in the house.

You might be able to see all colors in a sauna. Try it.

That's stupid. It should light up showing right colors in right places!
And why does title say 3x3?! That's 6, but cube obviously has 4 sides!
Really??? cube has 6 sides...so actually it is 3x3x3, but 3x3 is 9 not 6. LOL!

Or the shirts that changed color with heat. Yes, I fondly remember those in high school.

It is a great cube. It really changes color as you solve it.

...and that makes it impossible to solve! Just as you think you put one side color together - bam! it changes colors, start over!
