Imo wait for a sale on Amazon or Best Buy along with an extended warranty is the way to go.
Yes, technically it has SOME functionality when connected to an Xbox using the included USB-C cable, but it can't be used wirelessly with an Xbox and many of the features don't appear to work when it's being used with a wired connection.
