This is a great price for recreational gaming lights that sync to screen color, not going to be super accurate at even that. (pending on vertical viewing angles of your monitor) So this will not work as well for a cheap monitor or a curved monitor.
The next step up is light sync boxes, that start around > $200.
So this is a good amateur set. If you don't want sync/smart then just get a cheap led strip to go behind your monitor from anywhere.
