Im sure its easy to find out for anyone, but figured I'd try just to see and it does work for the new Hot Italian for only $8.95 (after tax for me cuz its hot food $7.49)

Wasn't a fan of that one, tried it today. Philly cheesesteak still the best sandwich there. Great price using Costco Uber Eats gift cards stacked with the free sandwich with $15 purchase that's always on the Uber Eats app.

When one could play the NHL Predictor game and get The Original Italian, with way more meats, for free...
All they do is put the Hot Chopped Pepper Relish on it. Just add that onto The Original Italian, when it comes to redeem the points.

I have never had it myself but from what the description I read, it's a hot/cooked sandwich, so the meat and stuff is all cooked, not just hot relish on top of a cold sub, I could be wrong though.
But yea pepper relish on original Italian is my usual go to

Order it on the app and put everything the Mike's Hot one has on it and remove the toppings you think would make the taste drastically different. You are guaranteed more meat on The Original Italian because with Jersey Mike's, that is static; you can never remove meats. Then tell them to cook it.
Yes, there will be a price difference. That is up to you. Play the NHL predictor game and wait it out and get the $10.75 sandwich for free instead of paying $8.75-2 for a watered down version.
If The Original Italian is your go to, then you just need to get that and just tell them to cook it. it is priced less, so it is not like they will charge you extra for labor in cooking it. Good luck.
Here is what I found as differing ingredients between the two:
Mike's Hot Italian- Ham, pepperoni & salami, Melted provolone cheese, GRILLED onions, lettuce, tomato, and Hot Chopped Pepper Relish
The Original Italian (only including the toppings to make it similar)- Cappacuolo, ham, pepperoni, prosciuttini, and salami, provolone (will have to ask them to cook it), onions (ask them to cook it), lettuce, tomato, and add Hot Chopped Pepper Relish
Because it is cold, you will have to remove red wine vinegar, olive oil blend, oregano, and salt
