What exactly do you think one would "struggle to run" at 8gb? The minimum RAM to run Windows 11 is 4GB. 8GB isn't IDEAL but, again, is fine for a budget PC. It's not going to be a significant bottleneck with these specs.

8GB is a reasonable amount of RAM for a computer at this price point with these specs. 8Gb is fine for the basic tasks this is spec'd for.

Apparently you think people are buying sub-$200 laptops to do 3D modeling and run massive, highly complex spreadsheets. These are perfectly reasonably specs for a laptop at this price point, and it'll work just fine for most people who just browse, watch some videos, and type the occasional document. The web browser is a far bigger RAM hog than any OS, anyway. Windows 11 is hot garbage but this laptop will run it just fine with 8GB RAM, and it'll be easy to install Linux on it if one chooses to do so.

Thanks. Slickdeals automatically puts the link at the bottom of the deal details page, and links it in the "Get Deal at eBay" button right below the posted price. I'm on a Windows browser so I can't see what it looks like in Android.

8 gb would barely run windows 11,barely, the processor doesn't matter if the ram bottlenecks you so badly,I'm just saying, with how hard it is to get ram for a reasonable price, I wouldn't recommend this unless you're just using it to surf the web, you'd struggle to run anything that you'd need a decent processor for. It would make a decent netbook, but not much other use for it with windows 11 installed. Now there are other options one could do with it like Linux, and it's a good deal regardless, just saying you won't be able to do much with this, and could do a LOT more for just a little more money.
You could have just say this is good for light usage such as surfing the net, office applications and stuff like that. No video editing, no extensive tabs.

Not "omgsh this barely move ugh! U gonna regret it!"

it is a fine deal. I approve!

Would there be any issues downgrading this to Windows 10? How long would the battery life last? Is the battery replaceable? Thanks!

Lots of naysayers in the comments regardless of what is posted or the quality of the deal. I guess it makes them feel important. I just try to stick to the facts instead of feelings. Fact is, hundreds of thousands of people are buying minis these days with less than half of the performance of this build and are happy with them. If I were shopping for a midrange laptop complete with USB-C, HDMI out, Wifi, Bluetooth, Fingerprint, Tenkey, Webcam, Ethernet, 1080P IPS 60Hz, and a decent 6-core processor I'd grab this one in a heartbeat. One commenter called it "useless", which I find delusional.

Ok I get that it is not for you 100% but you don't see this as a low range laptop for those who need the minimum application?

I was agreeing with your points. I don't currently have use for a personal laptop in my career or home life, so I'm not shopping for one. Yes I see this as a capable laptop for light to medium use demands, and much better than most in the $200 range.

I always manually add the deal link in the OP, and label it as such. I think you are describing the spot for you to put it in as a category that asks you for it while posting the deal.
I do use SD's Classic View on PC to post deals.

Got suckered into one of these Gateway deals a few years ago. Never again, my e-machine desktop lasted longer. Started falling apart within a year and had to send it in for warranty twice. First I noticed the keyboard was no longer flat, battery replacement before it exploded. Next was the fan, the replacement for that wasn't much better. Enticing price = get the longest warranty you can and expect to not have a laptop weeks on end.

Completely wrong. If you know what you're doing Windows 11 de-bloated runs on 8gb with an SSD Drive great for basic tasks -- office and web browsing.

How do I know? Im running exactly this on a 10 year old i5 with 8gb. a clean install after a drive wipe runs Windows 11 beautifully (Rufus helps build a clean install USB).

I alway run my own loads. Windows 11 but I never use the installed OS. I put the installed SSD aside an install my image on a blank drive.

I wonder how the performance on this would be if I installed one of the flavors of Linux that loads completely into RAM and runs from there?

That works too. Since version Windows 3.0, Windows's has always worked so much better after a clean install rather than a manufacturer install full of bloatware and MS bloat.
