I agree, this stand is made of steel and is quite heavy. Vevor makes folding work stands made from aluminum, FYI. And their prices aren't bad.

I bought the larger 4x8 size a while back and it came with the flat non-slip inserts. Looks like this one doesn't have those. They really help keep plywood from sliding around.
