My Chase Sapphire card has an offer for 30% cash back, it may be worth to jump back for a year.
Costco has most items I buy at the warehouse, I gave up on Sam's 2 years ago, as the only thing I bought there was Evian water.
Yeah this is what I always do but used a same phone number that was used previously. I also received a message asking if i already had account with them.
Last time I "renewed" I needed to use a new phone number. Everything else the same as usual
If any of you don't want plus account and have an ADP account for the payroll, check LifeMart Employees Discount from ADP. It was offering Sam's regular membership for $20 with $20 Travel and Entertainment credit.
Sam's Club may have better prices on meat, especially beef and ground beef. I used to have both Costco membership and Sam's Club membership. Since Sam's Club is a little further away from me, I didn't go there often, but I remember better prices on beef than Costco. Since I am hosting a grad party in a few months and need to buy meat, I am thinking about joining for Sam's Club again.
While I've been a die hard Costco fan for years, Sam's Club is definitely beating them on meat. Not only do they have lower prices, but they sell it in much more reasonably sized packages.
My wife and I have done something like this every year - Sam's is not our favorite, but at $20-$25 for a year, it is worth it!
Sometimes we use Groupon, but last year the Sam's customer service rep said not to as they always have simialr deals - LIKE THIS!
My wife and I alternate who is prime, thus one ov us never had an account within 12 months,
You need to have the customer service folks delete your deets from the Sam's database - then you ca use your old email and phone number.
Thanks OP - we expired a week ago and will go again before the end of the month (or 2/25)

Oh so, it wasn't just me thinking meat price is better at Sam's Club than Costco. I haven't heard anyone stating so, so I thought maybe, I was mistaken.

I tried that, no luck. Tried different phone numbers and a slightly different address too.My membership expired more than 6 months ago as well.
They are now tracking by phone #, don't use any phone # you have previoulsy used for membership, it wont work.
What I did, I got a free Google voice #, and it work flawlessly.
After that I used the phone # for the Metro by Tmobile deal, ported in to get the Iphone 16e for $163.24.
I may port out the Metro # to get the Cricket Iphone 16e which I think is about the same price as Metro's. 😎
Went ahead and got it. Used Chase for 30% cash back. So $15 cash back from Chase and $30 cash back from Sam's brings the out of pocket to $5. Best price in the last couple years. There was a stretch for 3 years where you could get your Sam's for free using CC and Slick Deals tricks.
My Sam's ran out almost a month ago so sign up was easy as a new member. I went to my local Costco to price match and I was chatting with the guy at the door. He all but admitted Costco cost more but the sizing of items were different. I looked around and all the items I bought at Sam's was between $1-$2 more and the sizes and item counts looked the same to me. Plus the Costco was a madhouse to get in and out. I did notice the checkout line moved fast though because I like the Scan and Go at Sam's.
Oh and I used a Google Voice number for sign up.

I recently had a discussion with someone about this very topic and so I have some examples handy.
88/12 ground beef is $5.99/lb at Costco and $5.76/lb at Sam's.
Boneless skinless chicken breast are $2.99/lb at Costco and $2.88/lb at Sam's. They also come in a package that is about 2/3 the size so I find that much more practical. Choice steaks, such as ribeyes and New Yorks, come in just a few cents cheaper per pound, but but are available in smaller packages.
Pork seems to be roughly the same price and package sizes.
Trout and salmon are about a buck cheaper a pound. Tilapia is about the same price.
