Thanks for sharing. I bought this on Saturday at $330 and was able to get a price adjustment. I wouldn't have noticed without the post.

I have the 55" version and I'm happy with it. Just ordered the 65" for a bedroom TV. It's only 60hz refresh rate so it's probably not the absolute best for gaming but for a QLED 65" it's at a good price point. Software on it isn't as snappy as my Samsung but I run an apple TV4k through it so the software doesn't really matter. I wouldn't have bought a second one if it was a complete turd. Generally speaking at the $300 price point you're usually getting non qled UHD models so if you're looking for a decent TV on a budget it's a decent deal in my opinion.

That's the only 65" I could find for the same price. Different technology if so. Both are 4k but the pioneer is UHD (regular LED) and this is QLED which should be a brighter better picture.
When I was looking for a budget friendly TV I was specifically looking for QLED as it's better for bright rooms - it's not as good as some of the other mini-LED or OLED TV's but priced accordingly. I have the 55" version in a spare room we use to watch TV and it's great for the price. I have a nicer TV in my main living area that's a QLED samsung from 2ish years ago - I say it's nicer - but it's primarily the smart interface that's better. I run apple TV4k's through my TV's so the software isn't as important.
I liked the 55" so I picked up the 65" yesterday to put in my bedroom to replace a 10ish year old 65" plasma that just won't quit - I wanted the eARC hdmi and 4k so I could use the apple TV remote to turn on the tv and control the software and have a little better picture...

Thanks, that is the one I was referring to. I was kicking myself for not getting it a week ago when it was $250. I appreciate the insights on the screens I had not noticed that difference.

Would appreciate if someone with more knowledge than myself can compare it to the 65" Toshiba 65M550NU for $330? I see local dimming on the Toshiba. The TVOS doesn't matter to me. No gaming as well.

I'm reading that the Toshiba may actually be a rebranded Hisense.

But for 25% more in cost? The costco does have a 5 year warranty or service plan or whatever they call it.
Other than the refresh rate and the warranty the two are very similar on paper.

In 10 years are you going to want what's now a "nice for what it is but still low end" TV?
If it lasts 5 years it's $60/year....
