The thumbnail for the video makes that thing look WAY thicker than any of those pictures.

Serious overheating issues reported with MagSafe charging on both iPhones and Android. Users consistently report charging slowdowns and charging being stopped by the phone due to overheating.

When have you not used wireless charging and not have it hot?

I use wireless charging. Nothing like what is being reported in many many reviews.I'm guessing you didn't read them?

Wireless charging is the ultimate convenience, but it comes with a physical tax: waste heat. Because it relies on induction... like a transformer; power jumping from one coil to another through magnetic fields. It's convenient, but that "jump" creates friction in the form of heat. it will never match the raw efficiency of a direct USB-C connection.
This was never a real issue with early examples of low power (5W) wireless charging. But as charging speeds climb and phones get slimmer (and wrapped in thick cases), dissipating that heat becomes a massive hurdle. This is especially true in cars, where using GPS and Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto creates an even bigger "heat sandwich." It's why you're now seeing brands like BMW integrate dedicated AC vents into their charging pads - (Link: New BMW iX3 wireless charging pad with 3 "hidden" cooling vents built in to the charging pad) https://x.com/JoshWest247/status/...5989486854
So, it's normal to get some waste heat when wireless charging. How hot it gets will depend on your (phone + case) design and how much power is being drawn.
