Ok this isn't as good as the last time this deal came up ($560 ish), but times have changed, and this is still a very solid laptop. The laptop market isn't getting better, so if you can get laptop with a Ryzen 5 240, 16GB of DDR5, and a 5050 with 8GB of dedicated video memory for $604.49 you are doing ok.

Better yet since this is official Acer through ebay you will get a 2 year warranty.

note: Charging issues: If you game on performance, it will drain the battery. If you game on balanced I believe this is mostly mitigated. The power brick is not powerful enough to power it in performance mode, and a larger brick doesn't mitigate the issue according to forums.

note 2: The screen is 400 nits I think. So not bottom of the barrel, but definitely nothing to brag about.

Once again this is not the best deal, but maybe the best you will get for a while.

Bought this laptop new a few months back from Walmart.

The display is ok. Not good not bad, it's ok for the price.

Gaming and charging, yes the laptop will consume battery faster then it can charge. I was playing an Unreal Engine game for like an hour or so and it went from 100% to 91% while also charging. I could see this being an issue if you wanted to game for long stretches of time.

well i added it to my cart and then saw it here. I missed out on the 570$ acer @ walmart. Was thinking this is next best. I really wanted to be in the 550-650 range for a decent gamer to replace my 2018 Acer Nitro. Didnt realize the charger/power brick was such an issue.

You can get the nicer stuff for about $1500. For this being almost 1/3 the price it's hard to complain about if you're on a low budget.

It isn't that bad an issue if you game on Balanced. Like I mentioned on top it's mostly mitigated. On performance it will drain the battery though. Just be aware of this before you purchase. As a bonus of this the temps are pretty well controlled as a result.

That's an insane design flaw.
