Unfortunately the Slickdeals graph currently doesn't get prices from Amazon, it's just a graph of deals posted. If you click the Price history link on the Amazon page you can get the full picture (which does show you're right that $24 is not really regular price).

From the history graph on the camels, it looks like the price has hovered around $10 for the last year or so, with some spikes above that, and maybe a couple prior dips to $7.
