I'm not sure if they get worse with age but one we have takes a good few minutes with warm hands to get even 50% translucent/colored. It would take a heat gun to get the clear colors advertised.

These are stupid. Once you touch the cube face it reveals the color and it doesn't immediately fade away, so it becomes like a regular Rubik's cube almost immediately! Not worth even this low price!

Do yourself a favor and don't buy the Rubik's brand. You're better off getting a speedcube. The ease of turning a speedcube vs the Rubik's one is night and day. At least this was the case several years ago, I don't know if they're easier to turn today.

Still junk. Makes you never want to play with it because it's so hard to turn.

I like GAN and MoYu.

Yep, I have one and that is exactly what happens. It's fine as a cube.

But after it cools and color fades, once you touch it, it heats up and reveals the color again - a different color, not the same as it was before! That makes it impossible to solve.

PRO TIP: remove all the color stickers to make it permanently black, and then it takes only a few seconds/turns to solve.

It's even better as two four-sided pyramids.

I actually took my Rubik's cube apart and greased it up with vaseline to make it spin way better.....
