Select Home Depot stores are clearing out this 280 piece Husky Mechanics Tool Set for $99, $89, or if you're super lucky, $55.

This is an in store clearance price only, so YMMV.

It's actually $55 at the store, $99 minus $35off. $55 plus tax. Thats a deal

The store near me show the in store clearance price is $88.98. Store 6636 in Fremont, CA shows them at $55.00. This set was $99 during the holidays. I think the price varies by store location.

I saw several for $55 in the Memphis area. Is it really a good deal? Thinking of picking up one as a gift but I like the inexpensive harbor freight options too.

Project Farm rated the 300 piece set as his third place at the full price.

None around me for $55 but I think a great starter kit for $90.

Don't get tricked. This set has 146 items listed as 'other tools' (mainly cheap bits), which leaves us with 134 items. Half of those are SAE sockets (completely useless in 2026, IMHO). You're actually paying for about 70 decent items in this set, the remaining 210 are just waste of space and extra weight

does the toolbox retain the trays? I have a decent kobalt one but after a couple years the trays are loose and can fall out.. I strap it againt the seatback with a bungee but its getting annoying.
Might demote it to shed duty. (tractor shed)

It's a great set for the price. I've had mine about 3 years and use it with my dewalt power ratchet and the socket bits come in handy.
