Not a bad deal, seems to come around every so often at this price.

Another alternative tool deal is available at Sams Club, they have their Channellock 225 piece set on sale for $112. I like that that set has Ratcheting Wrenches. Depends on what is important to you I suppose.

Depends on your needs. The Husky set has a lot of screw driver bits (fillers) to increase it's tool count number. I keep it in the work truck for a quick grab with small tasks. The Craftsman kit, I keep in the daily commuter vehicle.

I like Husky tools. They're just good enough to work, and if they break you just take them to HD and they give you a new closest equivalent. I've probably upgraded all of my ratchets over the years doing that Big Grin

Seems to be the closest modern equivalent to old-school Craftsman at Sears.

Rarely did you ever break a Craftsmans tool back then. Different quality of manufacturing.

It really is. The cool thing is if something breaks in a set, they give you the off-the-shelf equivalent...which is often a higher quality version.

Ehhh…you're not wrong about quality, but I know some old timers who got the exact same tool replaced (or ratchet driver rebuilt, when they still did that in-store) dozens of times. 🤣
