I have a Recon Tanto from like 2005. They're nice and hold up well. I'm sure it's made overseas now, but even so, if it's similar in durability, it's a good buy.

Great Googly Moogly, I ordered this bundle at $51.92 and thought THAT was a steal, now it's even less. Not all Cold Steel knives are worth whatever they charge, but these two particular blades are actually among their better current budget offerings.

I got mine delivered today, in sealed Cold Steel boxes. Both look legit to me. Kobun has the metal clip.

I ordered from the previous deal and have received both. I don't have much experience with the larger style knife but I also own a knock-off kobun (complete with fake Cold Steel box and markings) and there's a world of difference. The one from amazon (sent directly from "GSM" in Texas as Fondgain already has noted) definitely seems legit.

I got the previous deal and for some reason they order and shipped separately. The tanto came in . And it's badass. The other one comes in Monday

Oh btw mine didn't come in a brown box. It was the retail box with a shipping label slapped on. It wasn't taped closed either. The delivery guy could have played with it and I wouldn't know.. luckily I live in a single family home away from others.

edit ordered another set. i changed the setting to come in a brown box.

Btw the knife feels sharp and sturdy.. I would definitely want one camping and or in a bug out bag. I wonder if I can mount it in my car legally in Maryland.. can't carry it just walking legally .

I ordered these on a previous deal. The blades are amazing but I find the handles way too thin. I don't have giant hands but the handles are awkward in my opinion. The blades are razor sharp and the balance seems good though.
