i thought the original was pretty slow and quite boring until thing popped off, more so than the normal horror/scary-ish arc... even when it did, it was just ok. i enjoyed 2, 3 and 4 (to a smaller degree). 5 was pretty crap.
none are winning any awards or would i need them in my physical library, but they're fine enough to stream.

They haven't made a good film in Hollywood in about 20 years imo and just regurgitate whatever has made a buck, so it is no surprise. Horrid reboots\remakes of Star Trek, Dune, Mad Max, Alien, endless comic book garbage, etc. Really don't understand how they even stay afloat as who pays to go to the theater to see this trash?
