It's fine if all you're going to use it for is charging. Which is what most of these cables are going to be used for.

For slow charging***... 15W is slow when compared to usb-C to USB-C cables which are at least 60W. Even iPhones are capable of charging up to 35W.

Lots of people use these for charging low energy devices like headphones or even overnight charging of cell phones.

Do you frequently charge your phone other than at night? If so these may not be for you. Most people I know plug their phone in at night and their phone is charged all night long. These are better for that. No point in fast charging (which degrades the battery faster) if the phone is just going to sit on the charger all night.

Well, yes that's why I said it's for slow charging. Some people may be mislead by the title of this post.

I don't charge my phone overnight. I use a 45w charger during the day to keep the battery between 30-70 percent.

Btw, its usually heat that causes the battery to degrade, not fast charging.

Fast charging absolutely degrades batteries faster (hint fast charging produces more heat in the battery while charging). Evs have way better battery management than phones and it's been shown they are degraded by fast charging: https://insideevs.com/news/784160...gradation/
If you only keep your phone one year then you probably aren't going to notice much difference but it compounds over the years
