Might be a good deal if the battery kit wasn't so overpriced....should be $150 max

This two 5ah battery kit with free tool was $199 for the past three months at home depot. This is overpriced.

Just an fyi you can get just the tool and basically do the home depot "hack" without even trying to "hack" so even if you don't need battery's worth a glance? Clearly I am not an expert lol

That wording is pretty misleading. "Free" tool when buying 2 batteries for $250.

The two batteries and charger are $399 without a tool at Home Depot, so this is a good deal. Not sure what is misleading about the wording.

What does HD have to do with their own site's listings? In one listing the items you're buying are $120. In another it's the same 2 items for $250 or $130 more for them to include something "free." If you're paying $130 more for it, then it isn't free. You know what the word free means right? "costing nothing; gratuitous" If a company or person is charging more for something, then it isn't free.
48-59-1852B without a tool is currently $140 on Amazon, $140 at Walmart, and $135 on ebay.
Just because another price you can find for it is higher doesn't make it a good deal. Otherwise, it's $529 (marked down from $579!) at redtoolstore.com which would make HD a good deal.

The point is this: find a better deal for the combination of tool, batteries and charger. I bet you can't. You're so hung up on the terminology that you're missing the big picture.

You're right, ethics and honesty are meaningless. All that matters is the best deal. /s
The $249 item listed here doesn't come with a charger.
But the $135 kit on ebay does. You didn't say which tool, but the Surge impact, grinder, and recip saw can all be found bare tool on ebay for $120-130. So that's $5-15 more than the waysource item to also get a charger. A charger waysource says is worth $30 or at least that's how much more they charge for the batteries with charger. This isn't an amazing deal. Probably why it has downvotes.
