These things are great. They track ambient temperature as well as the temp at different depths of whatever you are cooking. The Christmas Prime Rib turned out perfect. I do use them primarily for smoking though.
Chicken breast, whole = 7 mins each side at about 385-400 on a gas Char Broil grill (heavy lid version -heat retention).
I do this every week, zero gadgets.
But this item is probably great for slow and low and smoking.
2 hours of operation for probe
Don't buy it for smoking session..
Not according to several reviews (given the low power drain of BT it'd also be surprising even with the smaller batteries these probes must have):
"On a full charge using 2 probes simultaneously, the battery lasted between 20-24 hours. The time limited by the hub, not the probes."
FYI there's another model that uses Sub-1G frequency band that supposed to offer much better range and connection stability. But this promo code doesn't work on it unfortunately.
Literally ordered the single probe thermometer for $45. Cancelled order and reordered the dual probe bundle for $60 instead of original price of $95. Thanks OP!
