We're all going to the same store, they know I like Spindrift, they charge me a higher price. Someone who hasn't purchased it recently pays a lower price. Coupons are simply an excuse that psychologically separates them from this system.
Imagine going to your local CVS and running into the same thing. The place would get burned to the ground.
