I was thinking the same thing. It says 15w, but also 18w. I figure to be nice and say 9w per channel. Not great, but probably servicable. I think most aftermarket car stereos put out like 15w per channel even though they say 200w divided by 4 channels equals 50w per channel. When I see them get tested they're usually 15w while high end ones can put out 22w per channel.

This unit is kind of down my alley. A small setup like this would be good to use with your PC. I couldn't find a pic with the back inputs, and most of my CDs are ripped to FLAC which I don't know if this unit can play from USB.

Exact Audio Copy - EAC. Bit perfect rips or will tell you if the disc has uncorrrectable read errors.

They should if stored inside the house. Especially if they are from late '80s and newer. The things to watch out for on older ones are the presure pads and the leader tape separating.

To put things into perspective: the cassette was in wide use for perhaps 15 years. And we are another 30 years away from the end of that timeframe. For a lower fidelity, disposable type of media which was much maligned with the advent of the CD, the cassette held up surprisingly well (in the sense of still be able to retrieve the content off it).
