If you add 2 years of Geek Squad warranty, which covers burn in and is better than the factory warranty. It comes up to $639. Then cheapest I have seen both the Samsung and LG 42" WOLED panels go for is $700 new.

edit: Chatted with Best Buy, item comes with full warranty 1 year from Samsung. Also if you have a CC that offers extended warranty, it also covers open box items from authorized stores like Best Buy if the item has it's full manufactures warranty.

Should put YMMV up. I checked and there's not a unit at a Best Buy within 250 miles of me.

Feel like Open-box is just another way of saying YMMV

Fair enough. Especially when it comes to Best Buy.

Good for a small room. If you are siting more than 6 feet away, its overkill.

Since I am being voted down without any reply. Here is what the experts say, not just me.

Summary Guide for 6 Feet:

TV Size Recommendation Experience 43" - 50" Too Small You'll miss out on the benefits of 4K resolution.
At 6 feet away, a 42-inch TV is definitely not overkill—in fact, many would argue it's actually a bit too small for a modern 4K setup.
Here is why:
1. The 4K Detail Problem

Human eyes have a limit on how much detail they can resolve at a distance. At 6 feet:
  • On a 42-inch screen, your eyes can't fully distinguish between 1080p and 4K. You're paying for those extra pixels, but sitting too far back to see them.
  • To really "see" the benefits of a 4K resolution on a 42-inch screen, you'd typically need to sit about 3 to 4 feet away (like at a desk).
2. Field of View

For a comfortable "living room" experience, experts recommend the screen fill about 30° to 40° of your field of vision.
  • At 6 feet, a 42-inch TV only covers about 28°.
  • This makes it feel more like you're "watching a box in the room" rather than being "immersed in the movie."
3. Text and UI

If you play video games or watch sports with small tickers/stats at the bottom:
  • At 6 feet, text on a 42-inch screen can start to feel tiny.
  • You might find yourself leaning forward or squinting during RPG games with heavy dialogue or menu screens.
The Verdict
  • Is it "bad"? No. If you have a small space, a tight budget, or just don't want the TV to be the centerpiece of the room, 42 inches is perfectly functional.
  • Is it "ideal"? Most enthusiasts would suggest moving up to 50 or 55 inches for that distance. You'll get a much more "modern" experience without it feeling like it's taking over the house.
