no ram included, then no deal... price of ram when you go to find it by itself is astronomical... bundled deals with ram included is the way to go

About a month or so now, they had a similar deal to this, same board w/ 32GB Ram and free AIO cooler thrown in. I sat on it too long and the deal ended.
I've been waiting for something similar to pop up again Frown. I'd jump on this is I didn't already have the CPU ready to go.

About a month ago, there was a deal with a better Asus motherboard with the 9800x3D (3 percent slower) and with 32gb RAM for 800. So sad that RAM is so expensive they can no longer bundle them with these.

depends. the newegg bundles come with an 870E motherboards that support ECC at $600 while Microcenter's only bundle with an 870-E that supports ECC is at 950. While the ram you are getting isn't ECC (well beyond the DDR5 built in ECC) if one wants to have the option to use ECC in future, they are close to. a wash then (as 32gb of ddr5 6000 can be had for about $350)

if one doesn't care about ECC at all, then the microcenter bundle at 750 with 870-E is arguably a better buy, but by less than one might think,

I built a pc with this cpu a year ago. Out of curiosity I checked the prices today. What was a $800 build is now $1500. The notable increase was the ram from $92 to $479. But every component but the cpu had gone up, and that only went down $25 in a year.
If you don't need a new machine right now, don't get one. It's literal modern day highway robbery. Sellers know ram prices are up so they're putting everything up, even things that have not been impacted by AI infrastructure.

A Mac Mini might be a better option if you need a computer
