The 17B is probably fine for you. If you want to go a step up, the Fluke 117 is nice and sort of in the middle of the 17B and 85V.

These are average responding, not ideal for HVAC or heat pumps if you're diagnosing power issues. You really should get a true RMS ...
I think the 116 is the one HVAC people seem to have. Or an 87V
If you're patient you can get a 177 or 179 for this price (my preferred) on second hand on eBay.

289 and 28ii on ebay are often slept on deals
Anything below 87v I tend to think a cheapo kaiweets on Amazon is a better value, might be an elitist tho 😄

Always told myself I was going to get one of these after every HVAC guy uses this to test for 5 minutes and charge hundreds
