Wait, people buy these instead of slowly collecting a growing pile of random leftover dongles and unrelated mice over the years?

I purchased a USB C version and the connection has less lag and is more consistent with just using bluetooth. Mac Mini M4.

Agreed but others have run into the same thing. I used my old USB A one with the same result. Mouse is Logi MX Anywhere 3S

FYI these are awesome.. but they only work with the older Logitech devices. When I got the newer MX Keys mini & MX Master 3S mouse.. I had to go purchase their Logi "Bolt" reciever to keep the plug & play operation. This was disappointing because I already was using the original MX Keys full-size keyboard & MX Master 3 mouse with the "Unifying" receiver advertised here.

I prefer using them with the receiver because you can just plug the USB dongle into the USB port on any device.. and they work without needing drivers, bluetooth pairing, additional software or a required setup process.

The $6 ones ship from China. If you purchased one right now Ebay says it would be delivered between Feb 18 and March 31. If I needed one now I would spend the extra buck fifty to get it in a few days.

This is what I was thinking also. Since there is the new bolt receiver is it worth buying this. Maybe not if most of your peripherals use the bolt receiver.

Fyi Input Director software does this too. I have the software on my laptop and can move my mouse off my pc screen onto the laptop. (Great for when I am researching how to set up a game server to run on the laptop. )

From 10 minutes of googling, it appears that Logitech does not maintain a list of compatible devices. You can check devices you already have for a star logo on the bottom, but it won't be straightforward to buy a new mouse/keyboard and be sure it's compatible.
That seems like a pretty basic miss from Logitech.

These are easily jammed by USB-C interference and some script kiddo can hijack it easily due to outdated security protocol.

passive101 is saying that by using the USB C version of a Unifying receiver with their current mouse, the mouse has less lag and is more consistent with movement and clicks versus using the same mouse via Bluetooth. They are using it on a Mac Mini M4.

Hope that clears things up.

I do not think there is a USB-c available of the unifying receiver. It is now replaced by the bolt receiver

Hehe - my thought exactly. I have a bunch of extra of these around - the K350 and M570 have been my go to for years so I've worn a few out but the dongles live on Smilie
