all these gift cards do is allow you to purchase certificates from their site for a very limited selection of restaurants in your area.
A $50 gift card only allows you to purchase TWO $25 'coupons' off a $50/75/100 spend and with restrictions typically as well (day of week valid, not valid on booze, etc).
Restaurant.com used to be better years ago when they had lots of offerings, but they scammed a lot of establishments running offers for places that either never signed up or told them repeatedly to discontinue their offers. You'd go to the restaurant and find a big sign on the door 'we no longer accept Restaurant.com' certs or even worse, go in, order present the cert and they'd tell you they don't accept it.
I don't usually warn people to this extent, but do yourself a favor, if you're looking for good restaurant deals, try clipp.com, groupon.com, seizethedeal.com or good BOGO offers in your Door Dash app.
