Anybody know how this compares to the harbor freight Bauer glue gun? Seems like the HF model goes to a higher temperature

Comparison: they use different batteries.
Not trying to be flippant, but this usually comes down to what ecosystem you're already invested in.

This glue gun is probably my favorite "tool" and I am running a full set of M12/M18 tools. It's a priceless tool to have.

I can tell you right now for most uses you dont want this to go higher. I have the single temp model and it has been fantastic. Highly recommend ryobis glue guns.

Yeah, you return the battery and get this for $19 and change. I was about to buy it for $52 earlier in the day yesterday, added it to my cart, at night I realized they updated it to the B1G1 offer. This was previously an all time low of $30 (without hack) before Christmas

This is a great glue gun. One of the best things about it is that it stands upright when not in use.

I scanned over this several times before I finally realized I could both ignore the word "hack" and still get a 2AH battery with it. Been looking for a deal on this (the dual-temp Ryobi) glue gun, building out my weird/niche Ryobi 18v tool set. Otherwise, I'm team yellow. Anyway, just purchased online, coming on Sat (2 days). Those Harbor Freight specs are almost always exaggerated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o...TfE&t=644s

The Ryobi gets the glue to 280 F while the Bauer maxes out at 200 F. Also it heats up quicker and you can dispense a stick of glue faster.
Higher temps = more work time and a better bond.

It's a total of $59.97 for the glue gun and battery at my store. $24.14 for just the glue gun after adding the battery.
