This Husky 500 lumen rechargeable flashlight stands out for its unusual charging holster and compact, brighter than expected light output. The light can run while docked once fully charged, and it includes white, red, and green LEDs plus a pocket clip. Charging behavior is the main caveat, since it cannot be used while actively charging and the holster can be easy to misplace. Availability and clearance pricing also vary by store, making it a handy truck or motorcycle light if you can find it.
buyers who plan to use the light while it's docked because one commenter said it can be used while connected to the holder (with the caveat that it can't be used while actively charging).
motorcyclists who want a compact light for riding because one commenter said it was "perfect for motorcycle" and they also grabbed the 800-lumen version.
people who want a novelty rechargeable setup with a magnetic charging holder because the holster acts as a second battery pack that magnetically charges the light.
home users who want to charge from common phone chargers because one commenter said both the flashlight and the battery bank light "will charge from my normal phone charger."
shoppers who hate hunting for clearance items because multiple commenters reported inventory/stock mismatches (online showed stock but they couldn't find any, or only a few were actually present).
people who need to use the flashlight continuously while it's charging because when the holster is charging the light you "can't use it" until you pull it off.
buyers who rely on a specific included cable for charging because at least one commenter said their other Husky USB-C lights only charge with the cord that came with them (generic chargers/cables wouldn't work).
The $5.30 price is an in-store clearance deal and is YMMV. Some stores showed higher prices like $14.88 or inaccurate stock counts, while others found units hidden in main-aisle displays or clearance areas.
The holster is a second battery pack that magnetically connects to the flashlight and charges it through metal conduction points. The light can be used while attached if it is already fully charged, but it cannot be used while actively charging.
Yes, it can charge from a normal phone charger, and multiple random USB cables and chargers worked. Some USB-C devices only charge with an A-to-C cable, so cable choice may matter if one setup does not start charging.
Yes, it includes red and green LEDs in addition to white light. It also has a pocket clip, and the light is described as compact and brighter than expected.
The product mentions a lanyard, but some units did not include one. The missing lanyard was not a major issue for shoppers who already had replacements.
Online showed 12 in stock, only found 1. Online aisle/bin is not correct. Tried clearance areas and wasn't there either. Finally found one in the front. Seems decent, compact.
Also picked up 2 pack Anvil 25 ft tape measures for $4.90. Not a big savings, they're only $10 originally https://www.homedepot.com/p/Anvil.../333949150
They had Husky 3 pack folding utility knife for $10 but didn't need it. Don't know item # for reference.

His comment referred to the CABLE being proprietary, not the charger.
I charged these with two random cables and chargers.
It does mention a lanyard but mine had none.
They were hanging on one of those vertical strips between bays.

I have some other Husky lights that are charged via USB-C, and the problem I have with them is that you have to use the cable that came with them. Literally nothing else will charge them. Laptop charger, phone charger, generic charger with the what should be a common cable, nothing works except the cord that came with the lights.
Some devices require a USB-a to USB-c cable to charge if it doesn't have the correct circuitry to negotiate power delivery by a USB-c to USB-c cable. Did you try another USB-a to usb-c cable?
I tried 4 different chargers on the flashlight in this thread. Worked fine.

In my vehicle, one of the two front usb cord (one with usb-a, the other usb-c to c) never started charging S25U phone. I always wondered why because the same cables interchangeably charge my other Samsung and tablet devices, though at slower pace. I thought I used that one cable I may have received with some other weaker electronic device such as flashlights making it unusable for S25U. So there is some charging power/configuration in play but for certain devices, I guess. But, I don't know which cable of the two, usb-a or usb-c to c, is not working with 225U. Will check as the plug in pin is deep inside the console, hard to reach. Thank you for the info.
I looked at these in store last night and the light can be used while it is connected to the holder. Also note it has red and green led along with the white
I meant while the holster is actively charging the light. Mine blinked for 20 minutes like it was charging it and I couldn't use it but now it's fine. Who knows maybe it was a fluke.

A lot of cheap USB-C devices will only charge with an A to C cable.
