It might save someone a click if the title specified Gen 1. I wouldn't pay $16 each for Gen 1 when you can get Gen 2 for $20/$21 (Costco member/non-member for pack of 5 Gen 2).

Is that in-store only? Haven't seen that deal yet and I'm a costco member looking at buying some gen2s.

I have first gen, Eufy and Insignia branded. They all seem to function exactly the same and I've never had an issue finding them. Maybe gen 2 will be noticeably better but I don't see how, these others ones have worked perfect. I'll try gen 2 at some point out of curiosity and maybe they will surprise me.

Only Apple AirTag has precision finding IIRC. I've tried third party and they're terrible/missing functionality

How are Gen 2 superior to Gen 1? Genuinely curious if someone has experience with both Generations

I ordered from costco.com. Shipped free next day. I'm not a member so had to pay $105 for five.

Depends on what your intended use is.
I have one in my car to track it if it is stolen. "Speaker" has been removed as not to alert the thief. Now, with version 2 if the thief has an iPhone it will notify him of the tracking. The thief can quickly search the vehicle, locate it,, and throw it away
I will be happy to be staying with version 1.
