"No surge protection", which qualifies it for use on a cruise ship.

I had to read a bit more to understand what that meant, but "Not knowing how critical an item like this is for a cruise these days can actually make things a lot more complicated on board. With this device things were smooth and easy. It's an item you do not want to leave home without and can work wherever you travel but it's a necessity onboard a ship." - from a review.

Didn't know that was a thing for cruise ships. I have one just by the bed and it works well to expand the power plug options at the wall.

Saw one review saying that they got there's confiscated because it had more than 2 110v plugs on it. Not sure what cruise, but worth looking into.

Does anyone know the electrical load rating of this?

Would it handle a standard floor heater for a grandma who wants to plug in a phone, a lamp and a floor heater? Or would it be too risky?

I don't know of any heater that is safe to use with any sort of extention cord so I wouldn't advise using this with a heater.

Yup, I plug my heater into the transformer in my backyard just to be safe
