Community Reviews
These TP-Link Tapo mini smart plugs are mainly valued for simple scheduling and power monitoring, especially for lamps, holiday decorations, and checking how much electricity devices use. The app can track runtime and estimate running cost after entering your kilowatt hour rate, and the plugs are rated for 15 amps. The main caveats are that this version is 2.4 gigahertz only and does not support Apple HomeKit or Matter, so compatibility depends on your setup. A practical pick if you want basic smart control and energy tracking.
Common Questions (5)
This deal is for the non-Matter version, and it does not support Apple HomeKit. A separate P110M Matter-certified version exists and can work with Alexa, HomeKit, Google Home, and SmartThings.
The plug can track how long a device runs, and the app can estimate running cost if you enter your kWh price. It is commonly used for monitoring lamps, TVs, stereos, and other devices.
Yes, but the total load on the strip needs to stay under the plug's 15-amp rating. Keeping the combined draw below that limit avoids overheating the switch.
The 4-pack may have a lower sticker price, but it does not qualify for the 25% Prime Visa cashback. Ordering two 2-packs can end up cheaper under this promotion.
Yes, these plugs are 2.4 GHz only. They can still work fine on many home networks, but routers that hide or de-emphasize 2.4 GHz may make setup less convenient.

These are all being sold down since they only have 2.4 ghz support. We've pretty much moved on to 5 and 6 ghz and many routers don't even expose the 2.4 ghz bands by default. For many with installed WiFi and 2.4-6ghz support these are still fine for several years.
