There are known security issues with TP-Link firmware calling home - I have merlin on Asus hdw as a better security choice- TP-Link is a Chinese company that manufactures network equipment and smart home products. The company was established in 1996 in Shenzhen.

Read the comments/reviews on Amazon. Not sure how well this router works. Be sure to test it right away, so you can return it within the 30 day period if there are issues.

For reliability and mesh, $100 asus and tp-link $87, I will go with asus all day and everyday.
I've got 4 asus routers and couples tp-link routers. They are night and day different.
