base unit is on sale for $130 and has gone as low as $100. not saying this is a bad deal, just trying to separate the cost of the unit from the solar panel. I just bought the unit on its own recently.

Anyone have a good tool for sizing what you need? I'd love to get a system that can be emergency for freezers and grow into a whole home system eventually, but I'm clueless.

Not too knowledgeable about solar power. What use case would this be useful for? Camping? What would it power in a power outage and how long?

200w is only for electronics. You need 600-1000w for some small appliances/coolers, but 2000w plus surge to cover all your needs.Plus a much bigger battery and solar set up to run it for more than a couple hours

See other post. A good hint is that this doesn't even have AC output. It's purely for running or recharging small electronics. And it will only charge them for a couple hours

Good way to see if it can help you, it states it is rated for 192Wh, (watt hour), if you are using a device that draws 192 watts it will last for approx 1 hour, if you are using something that draws 20 watts it may last for 9 to 10 hours. The display will likely tell you the draw in watts.

Follow up question how long would it take to charge back up using the panels that are in the deal and can you add addition panels so that it would improve the turn around time for recharging?

So this seems like good for very small devices like router and modem maybe, nothing much else. Does this have UPS function, if so it would be freat otherwise this is too small for the price.

As others have noted, this one doesn't have AC output. However, just to give you some numbers that you can use to compare other batteries with AC outlets, my 768 Wh battery powers my regular kitchen fridge/freezer for about 8 hours.
My battery output max is 800W continuous. I have a power monitor on the fridge for over a year, and it has never recorded a value above 536W, so I'd say you should probably be looking at systems with a similar 800+W output.
I only have one fridge to test with though, so I have no idea how much they might vary, or how a freezer-only might have different power requirements from a fridge/freezer combo.

It's more designed for portability and has no AC ports to power on a modem or router. Which is good because it is a lot lighter than the AC version. I wouldn't use it as a fixed area battery. I do use it to charge all our phones, iPads, Nintendo switch and laptops during the day. Sometimes throw it in the car with me in case. At night I'll use a bigger battery to charge it since it is limited to only 100w charging speeds. 60w max is pretty slow for solar and you won't be getting max 60w so keep that in mind. My older 220w x2 (440w) setup outside get around 300w charging. 160w panel right now gets 100w. It isn't summer weather but just ti give you guys an idea. Like the first post I would buy it separately and invest in a a larger solar panel.

Thanks for the information, this is 192Wh, what would be equivalent of mAh battery pack?
since this would just be an extended battery with benefit of solar charging.
