Oddly specific use case being unmanaged... That said you can get a Unifi 8 port SFP+ aggregation switch for $270 normal price so this seems pretty silly

Fair, but if you want copper that's going to be another ~$250 for all 8 ports.

yep and bought it. been look for one of these for few months. this is lowest i have seen for 10Gbps for at least somewhat reputable company

Probably the cheapest way to get into the 10G game with a reputable brand, but I sure wish there was a managed version so I could do vlans
