is this the LTSC version or a normal version which should activate normally? I'm not in the mood to call that number and repeat codes for 10 minutes.

It's generally gray market. Meaning it's not fake, but it's not legit. These are often very YMMV. For personal use, you probably won't get raided. If you're a business, I wouldn't touch this with a 50ft pole

I purchased the item about 1 hour ago. I was not able to follow the steps provided as my computer would not allow me to save XML files. I contacted Microsoft directly and I was told that this type of package is for organizations and not for personal use, making the product "unlicensed", even though it has an original Microsoft key. The website's "contact" page doesn't work. I had to send an email requesting a refund. I hope I get my money back.

If you paid via PayPal you can request a refund since the product was apparently not as advertised.

If you don't have Office, its a good deal, but if you have at least Office 2010, you're good... that's how long its been since there was a meaningful upgrade. Excel is the only app that really evolves at all, but unless you are really interested in the newest cutting edge Excel formulas, it doesn't matter.
